Been learning German for past 4 months. It's good. I already had basic German knowledge when I started, so it was easier for me.

Duolingo is really good for kids however it's Slow for me . it takes a lot of time .I spent 90 days - more than 100 hours learning the Korean language. However in those 90 days I learned only 500 words and basic grammar.Overall Good experience .

It’s good for vocab but not great for grammar or pronunciation so I’d say overall good to o complement other learning methods- formal study, podcasts, textbooks to explain grammar etc

I'm using it 2-3 minutes a day for French. It's been around 45 days. Learning is slow but not so boring.

What’s new & what hasn’t changed? Here’s what I took away from IFAC’s president’s address to Nepali accountants. In her maiden speech on this year’s National Convention of Accounting Professionals, Asmaa Resmouki talked about the emergent opportunities for the accounting & assurance professionals.Examples include sustainable reporting, assurance services for cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, anti-money laundering and ESG reporting. But to actually achieve sustainability in their own practice and their careers the old breed of accountants will have to upskill & reskill themselves. The newer accountants will also have to equip themselves with new competencies, skills & new mindset.🚩 What’s not new? (What has not changed?) 🚩➡ Accountants already have competencies that can be easily transferred to sustainable reporting & assurance.➡ Accountants work under the public interest mandate.➡ They are governed by high ethical standards.🚩 What’s changed? 🚩➡ Emerging technologies➡ Accountants’s need to upgrade business acumen➡ Need to broaden their technical expertiseEngage & collaborate with subject matter expertsAll this can be achieved through continuous education, .. and she highlighted the role of educational institutes like the The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal & universities to help navigate incumbent accountants through the ever changing accounting & assurance environment, .. and encourage & inspire the aspiring professional accountants on developing new competencies.#accountingandaccountants #nationalconventionofaccountingprofessionals #sustainabilityreporting

(He) had the 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒍𝒖𝒄𝒌 to be born out of wedlock. It is not something you expect to read as the first sentence of a book.Yet that's what you'll find in Walter Issacson's biography of Leonardo da Vinci." Leonardo da Vinci had the good luck to be born out of wedlock. Otherwise, he would have been expected to become a notary, like the firstborn legitimate sons in his family stretching back at least five generations. "How perspective matters!Da Vinci lived his life with the shame of being an illegitimate son.But we are saying 'thank god' that he was illegitimate. So maybe not all misfortunes are misfortunes?? 🤔

Many accounting firms are really confused if they should look offshore to hire accounting talent. "Is it for me?"'What are the benefits?'"What are the risks?""How does it work?""How do I keep my offshore team motivated?""What about the continuous training of my team members?""Should I manage my team on my own or opt for fully/partially managed service?"And many more ....If I get enough interest, I would like to create an information package.Absolutely FREE.No strings attached. But only if I get enough interest from firm owners.Share how you would like to get this information by participating on the quiz.

How many of you sometimes feel 'not-noticed' in your work, by your clients or by your partner?Carrying a red brick 🟥could be the solution! 😀🤓I mean this metaphorically, of course. But have you used a red brick equivalent to get noticed? What did / do you do??I'm looking for inspiration. Share your story.#accountingandaccountants #getnoticed #inspiration #gettingmorevisible
